Prof. Olexandr Yemelyanov
He was born in Lviv, Ukraine, in 1971. He is a Professor of the Department of Business Economics and Investment, Institute of Economics and Management, Lviv Polytechnic National University, Ukraine. He received MSc in economics, PhD and DSc degrees from Lviv Polytechnic National University in 1993, 2002 and 2020 respectively. His Scientific research are dedicated to assessing the economic efficiency and sustainability of energy-saving development of industrial enterprises, regions and countries, which allowed to develop strategic approaches to effective implementation of energy-saving investment projects, feasibility studies for green energy and low-waste production, financial and investment strategies for sustainable development of territorial communities, etc. He works in the field of developing tools for assessing the potential of economic development of enterprises and regions, creating effective organizational and economic mechanisms for implementing energy saving programs and projects, developing indicators and models of sustainable development of enterprises and regions, developing energy saving strategies at enterprises and regions. He published more than 450 scientific works. His research interest includes economic growth, energy consumption, energy efficiency, energy markets, prices for energy resources, sustainable development, technological changes, social insurance, investment, and microfinance.
