He is an Assistant Professor at Alma Mater Europaea Campus College “Rezonanca” and an environmental biologist and ecologist. He holds a PhD in Biological Sciences and an MSc in Ecology and Environmental Protection. He has more than two decades of professional experience in environmental research, biodiversity conservation, ecosystem assessment, nature protection, and sustainable natural resource management. His research focuses on environmental pollution and its biological effects, particularly the use of biochemical, physiological, histopathological, and microbiological biomarkers in fish and other organisms to assess aquatic ecosystem health and potential risks to human health. His scientific work also addresses the impacts of climate change on species distributions and bird communities, water resource sustainability, invasive alien species, protected area management, and ecosystem services. He has contributed to numerous environmental and social impact assessments involving renewable energy, hydropower, transport infrastructure, water systems, and industrial development. He has participated in international and regional projects supported by the EEA, UNEP, UNDP/GEF, FAO, IUCN, WWF, the German Environment Agency, and other institutions. His research has been published in Nature Communications, PNAS, Environmental Research Letters, Conservation Biology, and the Polish Journal of Environmental Studies. His specialization includes Environmental pollution; Climate change impacts; Aquatic ecosystems; Water quality; Ecotoxicology; Biological biomarkers; Biodiversity conservation; Ornithology; Ecosystem services; Environmental impact assessment; Nature-based solutions; Sustainable natural resource management.
