Abstract
The experiment was conducted to evaluate the growth parameters, reproductive parameters and yield parameters of fifteen different varieties of cowpea in Prayagraj agro-climatic conditions. It was performed at the Research Field of the Department of Horticulture in the year 2022 between August and December. Simple RBD was used for the analysis, with three replications. The observations were made about several characters. Based on the observations recorded, Red Rose and Selection Hanghama were found to be the best varieties in terms of earliness, viz., days to 1st flowering (33.27 days) and (33.47 days) and days to 50% flowering (37.53 days) and (38.60 days), respectively. In terms of yield, Booster Cowpea and Kashi Kanchan were found to be the best over other varieties, viz., yield per plant (473.80 g) and (387.87 g), pod yield (17.55 t/h) and (14.37 t/h) respectively.
