Dr. Pooja Sharma

She is an Associate Professor, Department of Economics, Daulat Ram College, University of Delhi, worked at the Institute of Economic Growth. She is an alumnus of Miranda House, University of Delhi, and completed Masters in Economics from Delhi School of Economics. She completed her Mphil and PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). She has been a PhD fellow at the University of Agder (Norway) as an exchange program for PhD students. She has more than twenty years of experience in teaching. She has contributed several papers to national and international journals and chapters in various books.  She is engaged in CEC UGC lecture series related to Environmental Economics, Climate change, and Sustainability. Her research interest includes Energy security, Energy transition, Renewable energy, Human Capital, Environmental Economics,  and Sustainability. She is an  Author of two books: Through the lens of Mahatma: Journey of a Migrant; and Living in Truth: The Gandhian Paradigm. She received National Best Researcher Award 2021 in Environmental Economics by ‘The International Multidisciplinary Foundation (IMRF) on 11th November 2021; Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Best Teacher Award 2022, Environmental Economics, Centre for Professional Advancement (CPACE), 15th October 2022; and ESDA Academics Excellence Award 2022, in the field of Environmental Economics, World Environment Summit 2022, 15th to 16th October 2022.
